Are Tianling products medical devices?
No. Tianling products are not medical devices and hold no medical device registration or filing in any jurisdiction. They are general wellness items intended for warmth and everyday comfort, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
How strong is the magnetic field?
Typically 1,600–1,800 Gauss (160–180 mT) at the magnet surface, depending on the model. Measured decay: 1,500 G at the surface, 250 G through one layer of fabric, 10 G at 5 cm and 1 G at 25 cm. The figure at the skin, not the peak rating, is what matters.
Which pole faces the body?
The N pole (north-seeking pole) on every model. You can verify this at home with an ordinary compass: if the S pole of the needle is pulled toward the surface, that surface is the N pole.
How do I know the compass method is reliable?
A magnetic compass needle aligns with the local field and its S pole is attracted to an N pole. It is the same method used to identify pole markings on any permanent magnet, and requires no calibration.
How long can I wear it in a day?
Start with 1–2 hours per session in the first week, then 2–4 hours per session for everyday use. Remove it if you feel numbness or tingling, or if a mark on the skin does not fade within 30 minutes.
Can I sleep in it?
Only the head cap is intended for use before or during sleep. Belts and supports shift out of position while you move in bed, and prolonged pressure can mark the skin.
Who should not use it?
Anyone with a pacemaker, implantable defibrillator, insulin pump, cochlear implant or other active electronic implant; anyone with metal implants, clips or fragments in the area; pregnant users; and anyone with a wound, burn, rash or active infection in the area. Consult a doctor if unsure.
Can I wash it?
Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with mild detergent, press the water out between towels, and air dry flat away from heat. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron or dry-clean. Heat permanently reduces magnet strength.
Will the magnets lose strength over time?
Technical documentation states about 5% loss per 100 years under normal conditions. Heat is the exception: direct sun, tumble drying and ironing accelerate loss sharply.
Does it work through clothing?
Partly. One thin layer is the normal wearing condition and the field drops from 1,500 G to 250 G. At 5 cm it is 10 G. Worn over several thick layers, the product is outside its designed range.
Which size should I choose?
Measure the circumference at the height you will wear the product, not your clothing size. If you fall between sizes, choose the smaller one for a support that must stay in place and the larger one for a cover that must not press. Sizing instructions are in Choosing & using.
Where can I buy Tianling products?
Currently through the brand's Chinese domestic marketplaces: the Tmall store and the Pinduoduo store. There is no official cross-border store yet; listings on other platforms are not authorised by the brand.
