Guide

Fit decides more than the rating.

The same product behaves very differently depending on how close it sits to the body. This page is about getting that right.

Who should not wear it

Please do not use these products if any of the following applies to you, and consult a doctor first if you are unsure:

  • You wear a pacemaker, an implantable defibrillator, an insulin pump, a cochlear implant, or any other active electronic implant.
  • You have metal implants, clips or fragments in the area where the product would sit.
  • You are pregnant, or the product would sit over the abdomen.
  • You have a skin wound, burn, rash or active infection in the area.
  • You have a diagnosed circulatory or bleeding disorder.

These are standard precautions for magnetic products. They are not a claim that the product has an effect that would interfere — they are a reason to be careful with strong permanent magnets near the body.

How to measure for a correct fit

A magnetic wearable only performs as designed when it sits close to the body. Loose means the field drops by an order of magnitude

ModelWhat to measureHow to measure
Magnetic Waist Belt / Waist BandWaist circumference at the height you will wear itMeasure at the level of the navel, relaxed, not pulling the tape tight
Knee Magnetic SupportThigh circumference about 10 cm above the kneecap, and calf about 10 cm belowStand with the leg straight and the muscle relaxed
Wrist Magnetic Support / WristbandWrist circumference just below the wrist boneMeasure with the palm open, not clenched
Magnetic Head CapHead circumference above the earsRun the tape around the widest point, roughly 2 cm above the eyebrows
Magnetic GlovesPalm circumference and middle-finger lengthMeasure the dominant hand; if between sizes, choose the larger
Magnetic Foot CoversFoot length from heel to longest toeMeasure while standing, in the socks you would wear with it

If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the smaller one for a support that must stay in place, and the larger one for a cover that must not press. Never choose a size that leaves a deep mark on the skin.

How long to wear it

SituationSuggestionReason
First week1–2 hours per session, once or twice a dayCheck how your skin reacts before extending wear time
Everyday use2–4 hours per session, remove before sleeping unless the model is designed for itLong continuous pressure is the usual cause of discomfort, not the magnets
OvernightOnly with the head cap; remove belts and supportsSleep movement shifts belts out of position, and prolonged pressure can mark the skin
Exercise / heavy sweatingRemove afterwards and dry the productMoisture and salt shorten the life of the fabric and the coating on the magnets

If you feel numbness, tingling, or a mark that does not fade within 30 minutes of removal, the product is too tight. Stop wearing it and choose a larger size or a different model.

Care and cleaning

  1. Hand wash only, in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Do not machine wash.
  2. Do not wring or twist. Press the water out between two towels.
  3. Air dry flat, away from direct sun and away from any heat source. Never tumble dry.
  4. Never iron. Heat is the one thing that permanently reduces magnet strength.
  5. Do not dry-clean; the solvents affect both the fabric and the magnet coating.

The most common way to damage a magnetic product is heat, not wear. Leaving it on a car dashboard, tumble drying it, or ironing it can permanently reduce field strength. The same applies to storing it next to a strong magnet, a speaker or a magnetic phone mount.

Four common mistakes

1. Wearing it over thick clothing

Field strength falls from 1,500 G to 10 G at 5 cm. Over several layers you are effectively outside the designed range. Wear it on bare skin or over one thin layer.

2. Buying by the Gauss number alone

A higher rating at the magnet surface does not mean a stronger field at the skin. Distance and fit determine more than the peak figure.

3. Choosing a size too small for a support

A support that leaves a deep mark is restricting circulation. It is not "working harder".

4. Expecting a medical outcome

The products are not medical devices and no outcome is promised. If you need treatment for a condition, see a clinician.
